Jake Bollman gets 100th victory for Bill McAnally Racing at Colorado National Speedway on Saturday in the ARCA West Series Colorado 150.
DACONO, CO. – There were two victors in the ARCA Menards Series West’s return to Colorado National Speedway on Saturday evening, Mother Nature and Jake Bollman.
Jake Bollman Victory at Colorado
Only sixty laps in the Colorado 150 were completed before a persistent rainfall descended upon the 0.375-mile facility. With the weather showing no signs of dissipating, West Series officials made the decision to call Saturday’s race before the halfway point, handing Bollman his first victory after seven starts and Bill McAnally Racing’s 100th overall.
Even before receiving an assist from Mother Nature, Bollman had already established himself as the favorite for the win. A solid lap of 16.608 in qualifying put Bollman on pole, who withstood an early charge from Kyle Keller and easily held the top spot until showers brought the race to a premature end.
Bollman snapped a prolonged winless drought for McAnally, whose accomplishments on the West Series included 11 championships. The most recent West Series victory for a McAnally-owned car occurred in 2022 when Cole Moore passed that season’s champion Jake Drew with 16 laps remaining at All American Speedway.
Colorado proved to be a fitting location for McAnally to find his way back to Victory Lane in the West Series. McAnally’s team has registered eight Colorado victories since the West Series first competed there back in 1995, with the group of winners including Eric Holmes, Chris Eggleston, Hailie Deegan and Jesse Love.
The circumstances may have been unorthodox due to the rain, but Bollman is now engrained into the legacy of McAnally’s program, one of the most successful operations in West Series history. Still only 18 years old, Bollman has several more chances ahead this season to keep tallying victories for McAnally.
