NASCAR’s Mile-and-a-Half Track Dilemma

Many NASCAR fans feel the Sprint Cup Series has an excess number of mile-and-a-half tracks on the schedule. Mile-and-a-half tracks don’t seem to feature the close, competitive racing that super speedways, short tracks and road courses have offered fans. NASCAR is always looking for fan input on the series, but one suggestion it seems is not being addressed, is that some fans are no longer wanting as many mile-and-a-half tracks on the schedule. Out of all seven seasons I have been a NASCAR fan, 2012 went the fastest. It seems like yesterday it was Daytona 500 weekend and the hype of the new season was at its highest. Well now the season has ended, we have a new champion and we can reflect on an incredible season.  The 2012 season may not have been as exciting as the 2011 season but it was definitely incredible.
