Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson will compete in both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and Cup Series races at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego. Johnson will drive the No. 1 Carvana Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage in the Truck Series and the No. 84 Carvana Toyota Camry XSE for Legacy Motor Club in Sunday’s Cup Series race. The event takes place just 30 minutes from his hometown of El Cajon.

Brendan Gaughan Makes First Truck Series Start in Nearly 13 Years at San Diego

Brendan Gaughan makes his first NASCAR Truck Series start in nearly 13 years at the San Diego Streat Course this Friday.

50-year-old Brendan Gaughan will come out of retirement this week to take part in NASCAR’s inaugural race weekend through the streets of San Diego at Naval Base Coronado. He’ll make his return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series this Friday for the first time since 2013, in the McAnally Hilgemann Racing No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado.
