Kyle Busch Gets Breakthrough NASCAR XFINITY Win at The Glen

With a victory in Saturday’s Zippo 200, Kyle Busch continued to tick items off his bucket list.

Recovering from a wheel-hop and spin in turn one on lap 17 of 82 along with a penalty for driving through too many pit boxes, Busch claimed his first NASCAR XFINITY Series win at the 2.45-mile Watkins Glen International road course, beating pole-sitter Joey Logano to the finish line by 1.049 seconds. Joey Logano Hopes to Take Advantage of Favorable Schedule

The current five-race part of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series schedule couldn’t come at a better time for Joey Logano.

Brendan Gaughan Set to Enjoy his Favorite Month of Racing

If Brendan Gaughan qualifies for the XFINITY Series playoff, the month of August likely will play a large part in his success.

Three of the next four XFINITY races take place on road courses, broken up only by a short-track event at Bristol. But this weekend’s Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International, followed by trips to Mid-Ohio (Aug. 12) and Road America (Aug. 27 after Bristol) are the events that have Gaughan’s attention. NASCAR XFINITY Series Zippo 200 at The Glen Preview

NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are taking to the road course this week for the Zippo 200 at The Glen on Saturday, August 5th at 2 pm ET. Coverage begins at 1:30 pm ET on NBCSN, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

 

Drivers will race 200.9 miles over 82 laps with Stage 1 ending on lap 20, Stage 2 on lap 40, and the last Stage ends on the last lap 82. Continue reading
