Joe Gibbs Racing Returns to Pull 2015 Sweep at Chicagoland

Joe Gibbs and the No. 54 Toyota team relished the spoils of Victory Lane thanks to the skills of Erik Jones back in June when the NASCAR XFINITY Series made its first stop at Chicagoland Speedway. This weekend, the Joe Gibbs Racing camp looks to sweep both XFINITY Series races at Chicagoland Speedway in 2015 and has tapped Daniel Suarez, Matt Kenseth and the series’ all-time winningest driver Kyle Busch to carry out the feat.

Chase Elliott is Rising to Top with JR Motorsports in the NASCAR XFINITY Series

As a 19-year-old Georgia native, Chase Elliott is one of NASCAR’s brightest young stars. He’s consistently won at every level of motorsport from ARCA to the Camping World Truck Series.  As the son of NASCAR hall of fame driver Bill Elliott, winning may literally be in his DNA. As a racer, the young Elliott is mature, poised and humble. He is extremely honest with himself and is his own toughest critic.

This rare set of characteristics will serve him well in 2016, as he moves full-time into the Sprint Cup Series. Elliott is taking over driving duties in the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet , now driven by four-time champion Jeff Gordon. Chase Elliott Breaks 39-Race Drought with Richmond Victory

Reigning NASCAR XFINITY Series champion Chase Elliott was first off pit road under caution on lap 218 of 250 and held the top spot the rest of the way in breaking a 39-race winless streak on Friday night at Richmond International Raceway.

Elliott’s victory in the Virginia529 College Savings 250 trimmed his deficit to 21 points behind series leader Chris Buescher, who finished tenth. Elliott’s first victory of the season was also the first in 24 races for an XFINITY Series regular at Richmond. Continue reading →

Dash 4 Cash Final Round Culminates At Darlington

Largely considered a success among the competitors, the fourth and last round of the NASCAR XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash program will be held this Saturday, Sept. 5 at Darlington Raceway in the VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200. The four drivers competing for the last $100,000 cash bonus in the Dash 4 Cash finale are Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Daniel Suarez, Richard Childress Racing teammates Brian Scott and Ty Dillon, and JR Motorsports driver and 2014 series champion Chase Elliott.
