ARCA Menards Series driver Bret Holmes is coming off a great season finishing third in the series point standings last year. This year he’s taking Bret Holmes Racing in a new direction with a new look. And it’s all about winning in 2020.

The organization currently plans on running 14 events this season with new blue and white color scheme representing the No. 23 team. What’s not changing this year is that crew chief Shane Huffman is at the top of the pit box for every race. Last season the duo of Holmes and Huffman worked together garnering eight top-five and 18 top-ten finishes in 20 starts.

Five Flags Speedway Hosting ARCA Menard’s Series; Bret Holmes Hosting Guests, Family, Friends, and Family

Every driver has raced at their home track before moving up to compete on a national level touring series.¬† For Munford, Alabama’s Bret Holmes, his home track is Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.¬†

Racing his No. 23 family-owned team with the ARCA Menard’s Series, which returns to Five Flag Speedways after a 23-year absence, it is a homecoming for the 2016 pro-late-model track champion. Holmes was sixth fastest in the lone practice session and was able to up that to the fifth spot during qualifying based on his knowledge of the track and it’s driving conditions.¬† But while focusing on the car and race, he is also doing some entertaining.¬† As a local driver, Holmes fan base in this area is huge and it shows.

Boca Raton, Florida’s Dalton Sargeant settled into his own zip code Sunday afternoon at Salem Speedway, and put a major-league whooping on the field to win the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200. Sargeant, who was himself a lap down at one point, got four fresh General Tires under caution late in the going and checked out from there to earn his second career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards victory. In the end, Sargeant, in the No. 77 Big Tine Ford, was the only driver to complete all 200 laps. Continue reading

Bret Holmes Confident in 2017 ARCA Racing Series Season

Earlier this month, Bret Holmes Racing announced their intention to race the full 2017 season in the ARCA Racing Series with driver Bret Holmes and veteran crew chief Bryan Barry. ¬†Holmes raced seven ARCA events last year with 2015 series’¬†champion Grant Enfinger as his crew chief. Together they earned three top-five and six top-ten finishes with an average¬†finish of 8.6.

That success was enough encouragement for Bret Holmes Racing to move forward in committing to 20 ARCA races this season. With Enfinger moving his efforts to NASCAR this season to advance his own racing career, the team looked to Bryan Barry to fill the crew chief role this year.  Continue reading
